I thought the word was mispelled and it should be "buttered" - it was "battered" indeed, the potatoes looked miserably beaten to a delicious end LOL.

Orange County Fair 2008
The Orange County Fair is held annually late July till the first week of August. It is a cheap and interesting way to spend the day. I went there last Thursday and I was surprised that I got in for only four dollars! The general admission is nine, for seniors it is seven and for kids five and under it is free; however each Thursday the rate for those age 60 and above is only four and all the rides for them are free (like they care for them - they already get dizzy just walking around). Parking is five and ten dollars depending on how far from the fair entrance you park. It is free, if you care to park in the street and walk a bit.

:) Something tells me I would spend a great deal of my time lingering around the BBQ stand. You know, just to make sure that I'm never too far, or far back in line...
It will be time well spent, gustatorily speaking LOL.
I am beginning to love your life ;) Travel, country fairs...
Don't! I have a boring life LOL.
oh wow! those smoked turkey legs are making me hungry. hanggang grilled chicken legs lang ako dito sa Pinas. hehe. :-)
Mas masarap yung chicken legs sa turkey legs in my gustatory opinion. Huwag lang yung legs na galing sa manok pangsabong LOL.
Here in Pinas, we love going to trade fairs, we even enjoy going to the Sunday Market in Lung Center for fresh produce and other goods. If I am there, I would love going to the different fairs and go home with a lot of goods :)
Lovely photos, wish I could be there, haha!
julie, we have swap meets, farmer's markets, trade shows and outlets that will cause your wallet to lose weight LOL.
