Time Out

On a quickie trip to Vegas, I saw this stack of cash in one of the hotel casinos. I had to take a pic! This is as closed as I am going to get to a million dollar cold cash in easily spendable hundred dollar bills. Given the "walk away" inflation of our time though, this is really not much money - a nice tract home with a view in Southern California, a fancy foreign car, a few trips abroad and all you would be left with is just enough cash to buy yourself a drink or two at your favorite bar and, if you luckily drop in during happy hour you'll stlll have a few bills left for the bartender. LOL.

\

I'm glad I kept the lifestyle, food and clothing preferences of my struggling college days (as in struggling for good grades and a more generous school allowance) to this day. I don't have to worry about money or lack of it because my enjoyment of life would not change drastically, either way.

This is the first time I've seen a million dollars. Thanks for getting me this close at least. I'm glad you've found that even that pile of cash can't buy happiness.

Same here, I have only seen a million dollars in your picture, and that's the closest I can get to it. But even if I have it, i will have to share it. I am that generous. I know how money can be the root of all evil, or so they say, which I also believe.

wow that's a lot of money to spend ;-) so are you now in Vegas till Pacman's fight?

George, this is my second time, the first time they were in 10,000
dollar bills (a ridiculous denomination no longer printed but still a legal denomination, as far as I know). I'm with you, money can't buy happiness but I still would like to have lots of it LOL.

Sheng, may your tribe increase! Why is it that those who have less (I'm not referring to you!)are willing to share more of what they have and the filthy rich want to horde their wealth and squeeze more from the financially challenged?

Missy, I'm not fun of boxing but I am when Pacman fights. I prefer to watch fights or games on TV because I can shut the TV down when it is not going the way I want it LOL.

hay! kelan ba ko makakahawak ng milyones na yan. hahah! Kahit amoy lang pwede na. lol! But hey it's true. Siguro sa panahon pa ng mga katipunero e may value talaga ang perang yan. Ngayon, dadaan na lang sa kamay.

i wish i am like you who learned the value of money early in life. my parents aren't to blame, of course. and i know it isn't too late to repent and reform! (guilty!) hehe! ...God knows we're far from being filthy rich but so grateful for having sufficient for our stomachs be filled. :)

a million dollars? i'll buy some incubators, hemodialysis machines and donate them to the needy institutions. tapos will buy my family ticket to europe, south america and other parts of the globe they fancy (kulang ata budget?, LOL!).

Where are the armed guards? hahaha! If I had that money, I'll be doing a RTW trip for sure.

Malditang "Kura"cha, hawakan mo na lang ang kamay ko at sabay tayung umiyak dahil pareho tayong hindi makahahawak ng milliones na 'yan LOL. BUT...so what!

dong ho, I'm not going to lose any sleep on what the filhy rich do. I'm happy with my life and that's what counts.

docgelo, I learned the value of money when I had none but the value did not change when I have a little...like in being able to pay now for friends who used to pay for me when I was financially challenged.

Pinay Travel Junkie, I feel good that you share my sentiment.

The Nomadic Pinoy, why did I think that's one of the things you are going to do with your million LOL.

Btw, there's a 24/7 armed guard not shown in the pic guarding MY (I wished!)money.

My first time to see a million dollars! I think I'll have goose bumps when I get to see one up close.

First thing I'm going to do when I get a million dollar, pupunta sa Seafood City to get a bucket of Chicken Joy! :D

happy thanksgiving, bert!
enjoy your blessings and continue sharing them! :)

dyosa,at the current rate of inflation, a bucket of chicken joy is all you could buy with a million in a few more years LOL.

Reena, bale wala na nga ngayon ang isang million...pero gusto ko pa ring magkaroon LOL.

The Nomadic Pinoy, we do have a lot to be thankful for.

bing, I agree, money can't buy happiness but it can buy a lot to make one happy.

docgelo, blessing work best when it is shared.
