On some days, I make the short trip to South Coast Plaza to do my daily walk inside the mall (when it is hot and windy outside) or leave my car at the parking lot to ride the free bus to the casino (when I want my wallet to lose weight) LOL. I took a few pics while walking inside the mall and I thought I will share some of them with you.
These foreign currency exchange places get you coming and going - they buy low, sell high and charges you a commission or a service fee.

i used to live in SANTA ANA so i know that mall very well ................ i kind'a miss SOUTH COAST PLAZA!
nice photos!
rodangeles, thanks for dropping by.
whoa! window shopping matched with good friends can be a great activity there.
topload is when you ride on top of a jeepney where the loads are usually placed.
Thanks for sharing your photos, I know South Coast Plaza but it's kind of far from Long Beach where I used to live. I've been there only thrice and didn't see the bloomingdale's hehehe. What casino do you go to?
the dongG,thanks for letting me know what topload is. That's a rough and unsafe way to ride. A hard bump can send you flying for crying out load!
Missy, you are right SCP is quie a way from Long Beach.
The parking lot across SCP is a pick-up point for the free bus going to Harrah's. It takes a couple of hours to get there. Other casinos have their own pick-up points in neighboring cities. I'm sure you are aware that all these casinos located in Indian lands are drawing gamblers away from Vegas. Why drive 4 hours through the desert when you can ride an aircon bus and be ready to "donate" your money within an hour or two LOL.
Oh I see, it's somewhere in San Diego, right? I've been to one casino in Palm Springs but forgot the names hahaha, close to Cabazon outlet. I think you are now retired and nothing to do with your 401k money hahaha.
oopps sorry it should be "name" not namesss hahaha, but I know there is one more casino in downtown Palm Springs....hahaha
Harrah's in Rincon, San Diego. There's also another one there - Barona.
On the way to Palm Springs is Pechanga and like you said, there's one also in downtown Palm Springs. In Temecula, aside from the winery row, they have a big casino there also. There are just too many casinos in California, north and south, and not enough money to make them all happy LOL.
Such lovely pictures. your wife's roses are enchanting. You know, you can take very good pics with both your old and your new cam. It's your skill that does the magic I think.
I don't know about my photographic skill or lack of it (LOL) but I often just take my shots on auto...bahala na.
Nice places! Buti kapa pa-casi-casino na lang ;). I also liked malling from time to time, nakakaaliw tingnan yung mga mamahaling produkto na di ko kayang bilhin hehehe
Dennis, I am not much of a gambler. I only gamble my entertainment money and when it is gone, that's it! You cannot beat these casinos - they are programmed to take money from you as painlessly and pleasurably as they can....all the time.
Hindi ko rin kayang bilhin yung mga ibinebenta sa mall pero my wife thinks otherwise...grrrr LOL.
I love the outdoor shots - especially the flowers!
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come back tomorrow!

I love the flowers. Yes, it looks like a artificial... but good it's real...
Joy, thanks for dropping by.
burn, I had to touch it to make sure LOL.
you like flowers no? :)
i went to a casino in oklahoma and one in LA! haha...i only tried the slot machines, but i was only left with 4 cents. :)
Reena, I enjoy looking at them. They say that your chances of winning are better with some card games than with the slot machines aka one-armed bandit prior to the digital age.
ah really? but i didn't know how card games are played. but i recently learned black jack. :)
i added you to my link nga pala. where are you residing there?
i read your entire blog.:) you are very well travelled!!! oo nga, why isn't the philippines in the SE Cruise? and i love the legoland. hehe. i can live there. :)
Reena, thanks for adding me to your link. I live in Orange County about 10 miles from Disneyland and 6 miles from the coast.
I have covered a lot of ground because I started traveling when I was just out of college. Ngayon matandang tinali na tayo, sige pa rin LOL.
Given time, the cruise ships will probably make Pinas one of their ports of call.
Miss ko na rin magstroll sa mall. Those flowers were so lovely. I bet you touched them to make sure they're real. LOL.
Oh, I'm going to SF this December. Any good hotels you can recommend? Sana makapunta din ako ng Disney sa CA. Hehe.
You are going to visit the City by the Bay in December? Good for you!
I don't feel comfortable recommending any particular hotel in the city. They are all good but expensive (most of them charge a big extra for parking,too)- it is preferable to stay outside the city and just commute via their rapid train system (BART). However, this is too inconvenient and time consuming for some. There are also hostels in the city that are conveniently located near SF
points of interest you might want to look into.
If you are going to travel the great distance from Pinas to SF, you might as well go to Disneyland, which is just another 500 miles more. I do not know what your itinerary will be but why not consider flying to SF and taking off from LA?
