I do not understand the reason why tobacco chewing is a no-no here.

Hahaha! Interesting, indeed!

Maybe the previous signage said, "No Smoking!" So smokers diverted to tobacco chewing. o",) Air pollution had been possibly reduced but chewed tobacco spitting became rampant.

So here comes this 'Interesting Signage'. U Walang kawala! Hahaha!

& worse,
oral & lung cancers,
may also be associated with
buerger's disease or thromboangiitis obliterans.

I think it has something to do with spitting. Tobacco stains are hard to remove not to mention a real eye sore.

RJ,siguro this is a total war against the tobacco industry LOL.

docgelo, I am glad I don't chew tobacco. BTW I quit smoking more than 30 years ago and I did it "cold turkey."

BlogusVox, probably so.

ajay, indeed they do! And I think in other parts of the country as well.

Sydney, I am with you on that but I do not think it will stop people from using tobacco. Remember the Prohibition Era?

Dennis, I've seen a lot of oil field workers here who love to chew tobacco and in Pinas, my lola used to chew tobacco with her "nga-nga."

Interesting sign indeed. It's good that I already stopped smoking two decades ago :)
