I have to walk through our community greenbelt area.....
then I follow the paved trail (good for walking, jogging, biking and skating) winding around the park. The park has unisex restrooms and drinking fountains like this one.....
and a couple of lakes, often stock with catchable fish (trout and catfish).
This is the smaller of the two lakes and the one where the fishes are more friendly to fishermen LOL

There is also a nature walk that is gradually being developed and a group campground for youngster. There are several soccer and baseball fields and an archery range. The park is barely use during weekdays but during Saturday and Sunday afternoons, especially during the summer months, the park is alive with people.

the place is just so peaceful and serene! lovely!
so you had a fab va-cay! good!:) that park looks so clean and perfect for a stroll or a jog:)
Nice park, where is this park? Nice shots too. I miss CA now :-(
It's beautiful. I surely would enjoy walking here, too!
By the way, when I don't get too busy at work, I sometimes would also walk from home to office in the morning and office to work in the evening...
Beautiful, I like best the seventh picture. The reflection is lovely!
What a lovely place. My friend and I were just talking about places like these the other day. The thing that we lack here in the Metro are parks. Parks where people can have picnics, walks and bonding sessions with family and friends. What we have here are malls, malls and more malls.
I love the photo with all the birds scattered around. Serene. :-)
Gita, it is...like so many parks in Orange County on weekdays and often, even on weekends. It is tax money well spent LOL.
ces,it is always clean because on weekdays, there are more maintenance people than users. However, if you go there early in the morning after a long weekend, it is not a pretty sight to behold LOL.
Sardonyx, it is in Orange County, Southern California. Most or almost all parks here are neat and trim probably because there are not too many people using them and they are well maintained. Since you are in Japan now, I'm sure you know that even in Tokyo they are able to keep clean parks (I have Ueno in mind of many years ago)inspite of the tremendous number of people using them.
dodong, when I was working in the Philippines that's what I used to do every so often. Mahirap kasing makipag-agawan sa pagsakay sa jeep kaya madalas naglalakad na lang ako pag-pauwi...dahil sa traffic the difference in time walking and riding is not that much LOL
Dennis, I didn't even pay attention to the reflection until you mentioned it. Talagang iba ang mata ng natural na photographer. I'm learning a lot from you!
dyosa, how true! We need parks, clean and safe ones. The people deserve them from the government.
matagal din akong di nakadalaw dito---salamat naalala mo pa si PUSANG-kalye.

a walk in the park--I miss that---when you just walk and take your time and just relax---we seem to be always in a hurry these days---we miss the birds and the elaves and everything beautiful in between.....
I could use a leisurely, peaceful walk (even jog) in a place like this one. It is one of what I truly miss having here in the country. We seem to be more obsessed with malls and all those unnatural things we learned to build.
It looks and sounds like a lovely park!
Many, many thanks for your visits and comments on my blog! If you don't mind my asking, are you also a Filipino by blood? It says in your profile that you're in CA so I assume you're already an American citizen.
I enjoy my visits to your blog.
Yes, I am a Filipino by blood. I left the Philippines in '69 but I never left behind my heritage. The country of my birth will always be closest to my heart.
miss ko nadin ang mamasyal sa mga gnyang lugar.
bakit kasi lahat halos ng park na dati tinatambayan ko e tinatayuan na ng mga gusali.
aww
Isn't that a shame. All urban areas should have an oasis of green within. Maski na sa Tokyo at Beijing na kay dami-dami ng tao ay may mga parks para refuge sa urban madness. Salamat sa bisita mo.
