Platform Emmy in Huntington Beach
A condo complex being prep for termite fumigation
I thought the lower drinking fountain was for the super-vertically challenged LOL. It turned out to be for thirsty dogs! The thought did not enter my mind till I saw a dog and his handler used the fountain to drink at the same time. I've never seen anything like this, locally or abroad, till now.
Those two oil platforms in the horizon are staying out of trouble by rigorously complying with the state and federal regulations but I worry that it is just a matter of time that a careless hand will screw up or a fail-safe machine will fail and the result is another Santa Barbara disaster.

that's truly one of a kind drinking fountain! i also never thought the other one is intended for doggies. hehehe
It only takes one time to doom mankind and nature. This might already be it.
I say no to drill baby drill!
You got me thinking back to all the water fountains I have seen. I don't think I've seen one like this. Usually what they have for doggies are the pump style you know like our poso in PI.
One oil rig I saw off the coast in Long Beach was camouflaged with what look like palm trees. Have you seen it?
Hehehe!!! Funny thing came out from my mind.
docgelo, for a brief spell I thought it was for the vertically challenged LOL.
A-choo!, I hope not! Thanks for dropping by.
Photo Cache, I hope we have more sharing your opinion for the stoppage of exploratory drillings. The recent ongoing disaster in the Gulf of Mexico may tip the balance in our favor.
The Nomadic Pinoy, yes I have. In fact, I have been to the four man-made islands many times in the past. The closer ones to shore camouflaged their activities to make them less obtrusive to environmentally sensitive eyes.
It is all about greed... we are really destroying our environment just for money... (sigh)
Sidney, corporate greed is insatiable. It will stop at nothing for money regardless of consequences.
Hahah!
this is the first time i saw a drinking fountain for dogs! how cool! :)
I like the green hue of the sea!
Norwich Daily Photo is back online. Sorry I've been away so long. I look forward to your visit and your comments. See you soon!
RJ, I was able to take a shot of a dog using the drinking fountain!
buhayprinsesa, me too! Thanks for dropping by.
Joy, good to know your blog is active again. I've been a frequent visitor before your blog hit the doldrums.
That's so innovative - drinking fountain for dogs. There's one I saw in a blog. a tiny pool - about 3'x3' by 6" deep - by a sidewalk where dogs can drink and take a dip when the temps are unbearable.
Mari, thanks for dropping by.
uy, may ganun, doggie fountains, or doggie taps? hehe, ang cute naman, pag dito yan sa Pinas at nasa daanan lang, wala na yan after iilang araw.
sheng,I know what you mean LOL. When I was growing up back in Manila, madalas may kumukuha ng aming sinampay na damit. Once, somebody even stole our pot of rice while it was being cooked!
This unsatiable greed of a few will be the end of us all.
Your pictures are always a treat.
That is one cool drinking fountain! :D
BlogusVox, I'm afraid you are right although I hope against hope that you are wrong.
rolly, thanks!
dyosa, sosyal at expensive to maintain pa LOL. My grandson's dog needed an operation and when I found out it was going to cost $3,000 I almost fainted. No, the dog did not have the operation....I am from the old country where values are anchored in reality.
Let's hope that there are actually no termites in those houses :)
Any oil spill would be terrible wherever it occurs. It's really a shame that it happened.
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again. Have a great start to your week!
Joy, I'm sure there were termites there before the treatment but I'm equally sure the termites were treated right...treated with extreme prejudice (ala CIA lingo for assasination)LOL.
