Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada

Lake Louise is only 30-35 minutes away from Banff but we decided to leave early to have more time to enjoy the lake and to get to Calgary with plenty of daylight.

Traffic is very light along the way but when there's a slow moving vehicle on the road, cars pile up behind. None of the faster moving vehicles will cross the double yellow line to overtake even if there is no oncoming traffic. They'll wait until there is a passing lane or a turn-out. I wish drivers in Pinas are as traffic obedient.

I missed the turn-off to Lake Louise (what else is new LOL) and we found out we were already at Yoho National Park and have crossed the Continental Divide!

Lake Louise finally!

I don't know them, they were just an added attraction or a distraction to the scene depending on how you look at it LOL.

Must be some kind of a secret ritual or she was signaling her photographer friend to quit fooling around with the controls and just take the damn picture LOL.

That's the kayak rental place in the distance

Caught at the edge is part of Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, a top of the line hotel with a spectacular view of the lake.

Taken from inside the resto at Fairmont Chateau

Sidney, it is a beautiful and very relaxing place until you pull your wallet to pay for something LOL.

dodong flores, I'm sure this is something that you can do, it is just a matter of time and desire. Thanks for appreciating my pics.

docgelo, thanks! But I still give more weight to your taste bud for food more than your eyes for photos. Just teasing.

Amar, yes, indeed! I think one of the beauties of Canada is they have less people/sq. area of their county and Canada is blessed with beauties, natural and otherwise LOL. Thanks for your visit.

Beautiful and lovely! Whew! o",)

Banff is really lucky to have this scenery from God! BertN, you are equally fortunate because you have visited Lake Louise.

May mga food producing areas po ba malapit dyan? Kasi kung wala, naku, mahal tiyak ang mga pagkain sa Fairmont Chateau. Huhmn, may mga Filipinos po bang nagtatrabaho doon?

bertN said...

You are not going to believe this but the person who booked our hotels at Calgary and Edmonton was a Pinay based in Cebu working at a call center! She did a good job for us - getting us good accomodations at precisely the locations we wanted and at the price that is not hard on the wallet.

Woooow!! Nature trip. Wish I may, wish I might, have the wish I wish, wish, wish!

bertN said...

BlogusVox, anything you wish, if you wish hard enough, and work hard enough for it....will come true.

Sabi nga nung isang anak ni Senator Ted Kennedy, "I learned from my Dad that there's nothing I cannot do." Probably an exaggeration but it is a motivational message given by a well-meaning father to a son whose confidence is momentarily waning.

I've always wanted to visit Banff but unfortunately, my time only limited my Canadian foray into Vancouver. Really captivating photos!

bertN said...

The Nomadic Pinoy. you'll get your chance to see Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper National Park and more. In the meantime enjoy your visit to Surigao and other places in Mindanao. Be sure to share with us photos of your travel in Pinas. How does the country look in the eye of a new foreigner? Nostalgically the same...or better?

What a beautiful place! I love love love the scenery photos. Hope I can also visit Canada. Crossing my fingers for my visa to get approved so I can visit the familia this Christmas.

Take care!

dyosa, I hope you get your visas to US and Canada. Christmas is a beautiful time to go but it is freezng cold in some parts of the North American continent. Southern California is OK though...year round.
