We went to the Museum of Natural History in LA, a place we have not visited for more than 25 years, and found out to our disappointment that they have the same uninspiring exhibits. It is still worth a visit...it is just that we are mentally comparing this museum with the museums we have visited in other parts of the US and Europe and it failed in comparison. Outside of the museum building there is a rose garden and a butterfly pavilion which we checked out before heading home. I took a few photos of the garden and butterflies and after lingering there for a while, we decided to hit the freeway to beat the rush hour traffic.

Beautiful shots of both the place and the butterfly. Great details. :)
Thanks for dropping by.
god, look at how much i had missed since the last time i was here...! if i were on a tour, i would have been left at some station, stuck at the same place.
the garden looks good, with the butterflies, but i like that one in the previous post better..the carlbad?..
wow! lovely garden and butterfly photos :)
beautiful picture of the butterflies. love it!
Elay, are you referring to the Armstrong Flower Garden in Carlsbad? Lovely place. A lot of people are attracted to the place when the flowers are in bloom. Some are more attracted by the shopping outlet adjoining the garden though LOL.
Weddinggliters, thanks for dropping by. Same to you, Orange.
i love butterflies=)...thanks for dropping by in my site..hehe=)
btw, nice shots!!
Dra. Rio, thanks for dropping by as well. This morning, I saw some butterflies at a park but I had a hard time capturing them with my camera - in an unconfined area they are very elusive photographically. You have to be good with a camera and I'm not LOL.
Hitchhiking butterflies! Would love to see those. teehee.
You've always had amusing stuff here which is why I love to drop by every now and then.
